Mike is a student therapist with over fifteen years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who face a wide range of challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety, grief, trauma, and substance use concerns. He is currently completing his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of West Alabama.
Mike is certified in Object Relations Therapy and primarily approaches treatment from a psychodynamic perspective. He also integrates cognitive behavioral, existential, and mindfulness-based interventions when clinically appropriate. In his work with children, Mike incorporates elements of play and art therapy to support developmentally appropriate and effective treatment. Outside of his clinical work, Mike enjoys building acoustic guitars, painting, and spending time with his family binge-watching Netflix. |
